Waterton Lakes National Park is located in the southwest corner of Alberta, in one of the narrowest regions of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Sharing a border and an international distinction with Glacier National Park, it forms the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.
Even though this beautiful park is off the beaten path, it is far from remote. Alberta's famously well-maintained highways provide easy access to this amazing destination. Waterton Lakes National Park is located 270 km south of Calgary, Alberta, and 130 km Southwest of Lethbridge, Alberta. The best mode of transportation is by car, however there is also the "Waterton Shuttle Service" which runs shuttles from Calgary and Lethbridge to Waterton. For more information on shuttles call 403-431-1696 or 403-627-9451, or email.
