Trail Information
Add to Trip PlannerPeople travel from all over the world to hike the trails in Waterton Lakes National Park, which says a lot about the caliber of our hikes, the quality of our trails and the one of a kind scenic beauty that Waterton Park offers. But even the gentlest and most well traveled slopes require preparation and thought.
Parks Canada urges all hikers to:
- take individual responsibility for planning their trips and hiking safely
- stop by the visitor centre to register for hikes and receive current trail conditions
- inform themselves of any trail cautions or closures
You will increase your odds of a safe hike, decrease your disturbance to park wildlife and heighten your own sense of safety and enjoyment of the natural world around you.
