People often ask why Parks Canada charges a fee to enter Waterton Lakes National Park. The truth is that entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites. The revenues raised from these fees helps to support visitor services and facilities and to maintain the integrity of national treasures like Waterton Lakes National Parks as a legacy for future generations.
For the 2010-11 season, entry fees are as follows:
Commercial Group, per person
School Groups, per student
School Groups, Entry and a Heritage Presentation Special Program, per student
If you are planning to stay in Waterton Park for a week or more, the annual pass is a good value and can be used at Banff National Park and Jasper National Park.
Fees listed are valid from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. Please check back on April 1 of each year for new and updated fee information.
