Fort Macleod invites you to discover its rich history and have a taste of its unique culture. Sitting at a crossroads that once hosted Indian encampments, wagon trails and buffalo grazing grounds, in view of the Porcupine Hills that front the ancient and majestic Rocky Mountains, Fort MacLeod was the last frontier in the west.
Today it is home to Alberta’s only Provincial Historic Area. While visiting Waterton, take some time to explore and discover all that Fort MacLeod has to offer.
These attractions are approximately 60 minutes away from Waterton Lakes National Park.
